DCLI Security DCLI enhances security by providing SSL communication and secret input functionality. You can also manually enable DCLI to run in FIPS mode. SSL CommunicationBy default, DCLI verifies SSL certificates for HTTPS requests and throws an error message if it is unable to verify the certificate. DCLI Secret Input Some command options, more commonly when connecting to vCenter Server, are of secret type. Values for command options of secret type should be provided in a secure way. Enable FIPS ModeDCLI is compliant with the Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), but the FIPS mode is not enabled by default. You can enable the FIPS mode by modifying the DCLI script.Parent topic: Running DCLI Commands
