About the Virtual Disk Development Kit

The Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK) 5.5.2 is a security update to VDDK 5.5 and supersedes the VDDK 5.5.1 release.

SDK files are available for download at vSphere Drivers & Tools.

Compatibility Notice for Partners

Customers should apply the Open SSL update to their existing VDDK libraries.

Recently Resolved Issue

The VDDK 5.5.2 and 5.5.3 releases resolve the following issue:

  • OpenSSL library updated.

    In this VDDK release, the OpenSSL library was updated to version openssl-0.9.8za to address CVE-2014-0076, CVE-2014-0224, and CVE-2014-3470. There are no other changes from the previous VDDK update release.
