Global Extension Points

Global extension points allow you to extend the home screen or the object navigator, to add a global view to the main workspace, or to control application-wide settings.

Global Extension Points 

Extension Point Name	Description
vise.navigator.nodespecs	Add an object collection node, category, or pointer node extension to the object navigator. Requires a data object of type com.vmware.ui.objectnavigator.model.ObjectNavigatorNodeSpec. See Example: Example Category Extension to Object Navigator for an example extension definition.
vise.global.views	Add a global UI view to the vSphere Web Client. Requires a data object of type com.vmware.ui.views.GlobalViewSpec. See Example: Example Global View Extension for an example extension definition.
vise.home.shortcuts	Add a shortcut to a global view or other data view to the home screen. Requires a data object of type com.vmware.vsphere.client.views.ShortcutSpec. See Example: Example Home Screen Shortcut Extension for an example extension definition.
vise.dispose.namespace.inclusions	Specify to the Dispose Manager a list of namespaces for garbage collection. All types within these namespace prefixes will be collected.
