Actions Extension Points

Actions are invoked in the vSphere Web Client from menus or toolbars. The actions extension points allow you to add actions to global or contextual menus, and to prioritize the placement of actions within menus and toolbars.

Actions Extension Points 

Extension Point Name	Description
vise.actions.sets	Contains a set of actions, each of which is represented by the class com.vmware.actionsfw.ActionSpec. Requires a data object of type com.vmware.actionsfw.ActionSetSpec. See Example: Example Action Set for an HTML-Based Extension for an example extension definition.
vsphere.core.menus.solutionMenus	Defines a custom menu including actions, separators, and nested menus. Requires a data object of type com.vmware.actionsfw.ActionMenuItemSpec. See Example: Example Solution Menu Extension Definition for an example extension definition.
vmware.prioritization.actions	Manage actions in object menus and object list toolbar. Requires a data object of type com.vmware.actionsfw.model.ActionPriorityGroup. See Example: Prioritizing Items in the Chassis Action Menu for an example extension definition.
vmware.prioritization.listActions	Add global (non-contextual) actions to left-hand side of a list toolbar. Requires a data object of type com.vmware.actionsfw.model.ActionPriorityGroup.
